Kelly J. Lama, 53, of Collinsville, IL, passed away Wednesday, January 3, 2024, at Memorial Hospital in Shiloh, IL, surrounded by her family.

She was born on January 5, 1970, in St. Louis, MO, to Richard H. and Peggy (nee Garrett) Eggers. On October 22, 1994, she married the love of her life, Nunzio Lama.

Kelly was an avid animal lover, her two beloved cats, Sienna and Mina, were not just pets but cherished members of her family. Kelly's passion for animals extended beyond her own home, as she dedicated herself to fostering animals for the Animal Protective Association. Her home became a haven for those in need, providing comfort and love until they found their forever homes.

As the proud owner of Pristine Cleaning, Kelly's entrepreneurial spirit and dedication to excellence led her to great success. Her business thrived, and she later integrated with GDCI.

In addition to her professional achievements, Kelly found joy in the simple pleasures of life. Her backyard was a sanctuary where she delighted in observing wildlife, always ready to lend a helping hand to baby birds or squirrels in need. Beyond her business and love for animals, Kelly enjoyed the art of crocheting and cross-stitching.

Kelly's true happiness, however, lay in her family. Alongside her loving husband Nunzio, she opened her home to host every holiday, creating cherished memories for all who gathered there. Her adoration for her four granddaughters was boundless, and she showered them with love and affection at every opportunity.

A deeply religious woman, Kelly's faith was a guiding force in her life. She lived with kindness, humility, and a genuine concern for others. Kelly was known for putting the needs of others before her own, embodying the true essence of a caring and beautiful soul.

She is preceded in death by her father, Richard H. Eggers.

Kelly is survived by her loving husband of 29, Nunzio Lama; mother, Peggy Eggers; children, Luigi (Klaudia) Lama, Vanessa Lama, Nicola Price, Briana (Dakota Danco) Lama; grandchildren, Elena, Eliza, Kalecie, Bella; dearest friends, Kathy, Wanda; and many other loving friends.

Memorials may be made to Siteman Cancer Center or Carol House Quick Fix Pet Clinic.

Donna and I have been pastoring churches full-time since 1972 and we can honestly say, that Kelly shined with love, joy, happiness, and Godliness at the very top of the list of the thousands of people we have known in our lives. She has been at the top of the list of representing a true Christian and the Lord Jesus Christ. Our lives will always be so much greater because of the deposits of the riches of God’s goodness that Kelly has placed in our hearts and lives.
Oceans of Eternal Unconditional Love in Jesus Christ for you Kelly

    Kelly
It is with heart filled sorrow that I write this memory. I cherish the time and dinner parties that I shared with you and Nunzio. You were never without an animal story from feeding baby squirrels, to lovingly foster every animal that crossed your path in need. I will be planting a tree at Shiloh in your honor and memory. At Shiloh, you will never be far from family.
    Jennifer

I am so very sorry for your loss. You are continually in our prayers. Kelly & I became instant friends when she entered Agape Church for the first time, because the Lord joined us together through our Faith! We began to realize how much alike we were realizing also, just how much we has in common. We became prayer partners right away & our bond was that of “kindred sisters” for God’s love, His Word being True & for the things of God.

Kelly was always positive, full of the Joy of the Lord, which truly was her strength! She believed the very best in & for everyone & I must say of Kelly, she fought the “Good fight of Faith” & never gave up on believing that Miracles Still Happen!✝️📖🙏🔥. ❣️Kelly’s love & legacy lives on!❣️
