John Borders, 56, of Collinsville, IL, passed away peacefully in his home on Tuesday, January 11, 2022.

John was born August 14, 1965, to William and Judith (nee O’Leary) Borders in East St. Louis, IL.

John was a selfless man with a heart of gold, he had never met a stranger, only made new friends.  He loved to spend time with his friends and family, always cracking jokes and making them laugh.  John was a seasoned saxophone player, always willing to give a private concert to anyone who would listen.  You could always go to John for advice, but his advice for everyone was always the same, he’d tell everyone “You just need a little bit of Jesus”.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Judith Borders.

John is survived by his brother, William Borders Jr. and niece, Taylor Steele.

Memorials may be made to The Epilepsy Foundation.
