    John B. Wisniewski, 87, of Lebanon, IL, formerly of Dothan, Alabama died April 13 at Memorial Hospital, Belleville, IL.  John was born in Sayreville, NJ on June 24, 1920 to Felix and Viola (Prusakowski) Wisniewski.  On April 20, 1946 he married Aneca G. Henry and she preceded him in death on April 5, 1991.  He then married Valentina J. Parsons on July 9, 1993 and she survives.

    He was also preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers - Frank & Thomas Wisniewski, and 1 sister Mary Yanotka.

    John served in the U.S. Navy during WWII as a Navy Fighter Pilot.   John graduated from Huffman High School and also attended Rutgers University.  He worked for Hercules, Inc, in Parlin, NJ as an electrician for 40 years. He retired to Dothan, Al and was a member of the Moonlighters Band having been a life member of the Musician's Union Local #399.  He enjoyed playing his saxophone and clarinet in bands throughout the world, first in the "Big Bands" in the Navy.  The Moonlighters Band will be playing for him at his burial.  John moved to Lebanon, IL in 2003 where he played with various bands for the senior citizens in different towns.

    John is also survived by 1 son - John (Cecelia) Wisniewski, Maitland, FL; 1 daughter - Sharon (Bob) Mandella, Dothanm AL; 1 brother - Felix (Cecelia) Wisniewski, New Jersey; sister-in-law - Lillian Wisniewski, Sayreville, NJ, several nieces and nephews, grandchildren - Kimberly Bise, Kelly Beckmann, randy Rase, Amber Synder, Aneca Lindquist, Jonathan Wisniewski, Robert Mandella, Bryan Mandella, Daniell Mandella, Melissa Mandella, and 9 great grandchildren.  John was also loved and will be missed by Valentina's children, Christina, Carla, Cory, Christopher, their spouses, 9 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.

    John holds memberships in St. Joseph Church, Lebanon, IL; South Amboy Boat Club, South Amboy, NJ; and was Past Commodore of Musicians Union.

    VISITATION: scheduled for Sunday, April 20th @ Ward-Wilson, Funeral Home, Dothan, AL.

    FUNERAL: Ward-Wilson Funeral Home, Dothan, Al on Monday, April 21, 2008 with interment in Memory Hill Cemetery, Dothan, AL.
