Uncle Joe was one of my favorite humans. He was always so sweet to me and I loved being around him. He had a great sense of humor and was one of the kindest people ever. I will miss him greatly, but I am so grateful for the memories I have of him. My sincerest condolences to both Danny and David and their families.

    6. Nancy Benjamin. Wayne city Il / September 25, 2020 at 11:41 am

My name is Nancy Benjamin it was Nancy Jones when I knew your dad. He and two other drivers drove semi trucks an my husband was also a trucker and we had a CB Bass radio ! We lived right on the highway in Wayne City. I would talk to you dad and two other drivers early as they traveled through Wayne City! One afternoon there was a knock on my door and there stood two men who introduced themselves to me by their CD Handles! There was another driver who drove a mail truck I believe it was! Anyway those three were planning a cook out and stopped to introduce themselves and give me direction to the others drivers home in Mt Carmel for a cook out so we could all get acquainted in person! That was one of several gatherings! This was probably back in The early 80’s I am not just sure about the time frame! My son was young and we had three daughters! So sorry to hear your mother has also passed away! My daughter Robin saw this and brought it to my attention! She was just a young girl back then but recalled a time we were at your folks home! She remembers you mom had A meal using deer meat not sure though if it was deer steaks or a stew! I did not know you had lost you mother as well. Prayers for you in the difficult days ahead !

To Robert and the entire family: Stan and I are so glad to have known your grandparents. Truly, special people! Joe was a one-of-a-kind and so gracious and down to earth. He always had a kind word for anyone he met. Just an easygoing and humble person. Our loss is Heaven’s gain! You, your dad and David’s family are in our prayers. We miss seeing all of you. With Sympathy, Stan &Danielle Kimbrell
