      Jimmy Joe Kennedy, 51, of Albion, IL passed from this life to the next on November 12, 2019 at Wabash General Hospital in Mt. Carmel, IL.

      He was born August 20, 1968 in Vincennes, IN, the son of James Austin and Mary Lucille (Johnson) Kennedy. He married Carolyn Phelps on June 22, 1992 and she survives.

      Jimmy loved his wife and two boys, his parents, and his dogs. He always provided for his family. He enjoyed working on vehicles and was able to get just about any motor running whether it was a lawnmower, a car, or a truck! Jimmy never met a stranger and will be remembered for being friendly.

      He is survived by his wife Carolyn; two sons: Josh Kennedy and Jacob Kennedy; his parents; one brother, Billy Joe Kennedy; two stepchildren: Meagan Rigg and Travis Dunn; and two step-grandchildren: Jackson and Jagger. He was preceded in death by one brother, Albert Kennedy.

      Cremation has taken place and there will be no public services.

      Jimmy was a kind man. Everyone who knew him had a friend for life. He loved fixing things and could fix about anything that had a motor. He will be missed by all who knew him. Your friend Joe Collins PS It was great seeing you at church on Sunday mornings.

      I will miss seeing and talking to Jimmy, he had a wonderful heart and would always help anyone when ask and even offer to help someone if he thought they needed help. He was a good man and worked on any mower that anyone needed help with. He will be missed by family and friends.

      I always enjoyed visiting with Jimmy before church on Sundays. Glad our paths crossed. Life here on earth can pass so unexpectedly. In God’s loving arms now.

      Jimmy was a regular member of the Harvesters Sunday school class. He was a friend and always willing to help anyone. He had a good heart and always concerned about others. He will be missed.
