JERRY LEE DONOHO, 71, of Orchardville, Illinois, passed away Wednesday, January 15, 2020 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Mt. Vernon, Illinois.
Jerry was born June 1, 1948 at Orchardville, Illinois, to Rev. Leonard Otis and Mildred ‘Maxine’ (Slover) Donoho. He married Cathy Millsap July 7, 1967 at Hillsboro, Missouri.
Jerry has been a carpenter since age fifteen. He worked for Nollman Builders and Donoho Construction, Inc. He loved to tell stories, ride the four-wheeler and wood working. He loved his family and grandchildren. He was always there to help. He was a member of Providence General Baptist Church, Wayne County Board serving Republican Precinct Committeeman and member Carpenters Local 634 Union in Salem, Illinois and previously served on Orchardville Township Board.
Jerry is survived by his wife Cathy Donoho of Orchardville, Illinois; daughter Crystal (Kevin) Halterman of Orchardville, Illinois; son Neal (Lisa) Donoho of Alma, Illinois; two sisters Kay Sexton (Mike) of Fairfield, Illinois and Vicki (Joe) Owen of Mt. Vernon, Illinois; one brother Gary (Betty) Donoho of Casa Grande, Arizona. Five grandchildren Ashley Halterman of McCordsville, Indiana, Tyler (Aubrey) Halterman of Lafayette, Indiana, Cody Donoho of Johnsonville, Illinois, Tyler Ross of Centralia, Illinois and Daniel Wilkins of Alma, Illinois also survive.
Preceding him in death were his parents and one sister Wilma Lowry.
Funeral services will be 12:00pm Monday January 20, 2020 at Providence General Baptist Church near Johnsonville, Illinois. Visitation will be Monday, January 20, 2020, 10:00am – 12:00pm at the church. Burial will follow at Cisne Cemetery.
Memorials may be given to Providence General Baptist Church and will be accepted at the funeral home.
