      Janice Elaine Parker, 81, of Albion, IL, passed from this life to the next on April 2, 2019 at St. Vincent Hospital in Evansville, IN.

      She was born June 26, 1937 in Albion, the daughter of Kathryn (Cox) and Mervin E. Rigg. She married Alfred Leon on November 2, 1957 in Albion and he preceded her in death on April 16, 2001. They had three children.

      Janice was a retired employee of Champion. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She enjoyed being with family and always had a smile. Janice was a wonderful cook and enjoyed reading and doing jigsaw puzzles. She loved and believed in the Lord.

      She is survived by two daughters: Tina (Paul) Van Matre of Bellmont, IL and Lisa (George Toutloff) Nold of Albion; one son, David (Ann) Parker of Albion; one sister, Evelyn (Porter) Singer of Albion; one brother, Don (Jean) Rigg of Albion; a step-sister, Sandra Judge of Grayville; a step-brother, James Pepperworth of Brooking, SD; a sister-in-law, Linda Hallam of Mississippi; 17 grandchildren, 47 great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

      Janice was preceded in death by her parents and her husband; her step-father, James Pepperworth; one sister, Dianne Richards; one grandson, Joshua Parker; and one great-grandson, Quinton Cullison.

      No formal services are planned.
