Janelle M. Schmidt (nee Reidelberger), 26, of Highland, IL, died Friday, August 31, 2012, at Anderson Hospital, Maryville, IL.
Janelle was born January 29, 1986 to Jerry and Jeanne (nee Draper) Reidelberger, at Anderson Hospital, Maryville, IL. On July 16, 2010 she married Gene Schmidt, Jr. This marriage ended in divorce.
Janelle graduated Highland High School in 2004 and gave birth to her beautiful daughter in June of 2004. She liked to play Barbie’s and dance with her daughter. She loved going to the park with her daughter and her daughter’s daddy. She was an animal lover and taught her daughter to love them too. Everything had to be pink. She had a great love for the Ford Mustang.
She is survived by her parents, Jerry and Jeanne Reidelberger; her daughter, Nicole Schmidt; 1 brother, Joe (Jennifer) Reidelberger, St. Peters, MO; Gene Schmidt, Jr.; nieces and nephews, Mariah, Logan and Kayden Reidelberger, Kennedy Brewer; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Preceded in death by her grandparents, Joseph and Veronica Reidelberger, Morris and Delores Draper; 1 uncle, Alan Draper; 1 aunt, Josie Ford.

Visitation: Tuesday, September 4, 2012, from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. and Wednesday, September 5, 2012 from 8:00 to 9:30 a.m. at Meridith Funeral Home, Highland, IL
Mass of Christian Burial: Wednesday, September 5, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Paul Catholic Church, Highland, IL
