      James A. Missey, 61, of Swansea, IL, died Thursday, January 28, 2021, at Memorial Hospital in Belleville.

      He was born June 18, 1959, to Hollis and Mary Ellen (nee Gass) Missey in Breese, IL.
      He has spent many wonderful years, with his life partner, Cheryl Klitzing.

      Jim loved his family, especially his grandchildren. He loved to hunt, fish, and watch Westerns. He worked for Waste Management for more than 25 years.

      He was preceded in death by his parents, Hollis and Mary Ellen Missey.

      Jim is survived by his life partner, Cheryl Klitzing, Swansea, IL; children, Saundra Missey, MI, Jeremy (significant other, Amanda Schiefer) Missey, Lebanon, IL, Jamie (Danny) Hall, O’Fallon, IL, Elizabeth (Nathan) Burbank, Shiloh, IL; grandchildren, Alizebeth Youmans, Gabby and Dylan Hall, and Lila Burbank; siblings, Marilyn Baer, Belleville IL, Clark (Ruth) Missey, Summerfield, IL, Jane Missey, Belleville, IL, Jerome Missey, Lebanon, IL, Judy Missey, Belleville, IL and Bonnie (Jeff) Britsch, Lebanon, IL; numerous nieces and nephews.

      Memorials may be made to the Donor’s choice.

      No services will be held at this time.

      My prayers go out to Jeremy, Missey, Cheryl, and the rest of the family. Jimmy was kind to all. My husband and I met him through the fun times all had at the Bequettes.
