Jacquelyn Fay Harrison-Self, 85, of Collinsville, IL passed away on June 20, 2021, in Golden, Colorado.

She was born July 2, 1935 in Georgia to Andrew Clifton and Queen Victoria (nee McGeehee) Harrison.

Jacquelyn was a Pastor’s wife for many years and a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She loved music, played piano, and sang in Church, with her smooth alto voice, most of her adult life. Jacquelyn had a cookbook collection that she loved collecting but never used (most are unopened) because she was a “Southern Cook” (a pinch of this, a splash of that, etc).  She was born in Georgia and raised in South Carolina.  In spite of living in Illinois for nearly 70 years, she was often asked where she was from, with her Southern talk and ways. Also, in spite of living in Illinois for nearly 70 years, she never could drop the “S” off the end of Illinois…just couldn’t do it.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Ray Self; parents, Andrew Clifton Harrison and Queen Victoria Harrison; brothers, George Elijah Harrison, Bobby Gene Harrison and Billy Eugene Harrison.

Jacquelyn is survived by her sons, Wesley Ray (Janet) Self, Mitchell Paul (Helen) Self; daughter, Kelly Annette (David) Astemborski; brother, Randy T. Harrison; grandchildren, April Hornberger, Janel Self, Zachary Self, Autumn Huff, Mitchell Self, Amber Mapas,  Victoria Hernandez, Tyler Astemborski; and 17 Great Grandchildren.
