Gloria R. Williams (Nee Blasiol), 90, of Pocahontas, IL, died Tuesday, September 17, 2013, at her residence surrounded by her family.
Gloria was born November 15, 1922, to Leonard and Catherine (Nee Enama) Blasiol in St. Louis, MO. On April 27, 1946 she married Lowell James Williams, in East St. Louis, IL.
Gloria was a member of St. Nicholas Catholic Church, Pocahontas, IL. She worked as a secretary for the President of a Clothing Co. She was a longtime St. Louis Cardinals fan. She was always there for her family. She never complained about anything.
She is survived by 5 children, Dana Williams, Pocahontas, IL, Maureen (Richard) Gaudreault, O’Fallon, IL, Mark Williams (twin), Euless, Tx, Kevin Williams (twin), Pocahontas, IL, Kerry Williams, Pocahontas, IL; 8 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Leonard and Catherine Blasiol; her husband, Lowell James Williams; 1 son, Victor Williams; 1 granddaughter, Nicole Thorp; 1 brother; 3 sisters.
Memorials may be made to Heartland Hospice.
Visitation: Thursday, September 19, 2013, from 4:00 to 8:00 pm and Friday, September 20, 2013, from 8:00 to 9:30 am at Meridith Funeral Home, Pocahontas, IL.
Mass of Christian Burial: Friday, September 20, 2013 at 10:00 am at St. Nicholas Catholic Church, Pocahontas, IL.
