  • Full Obituary

Gloria Jean (Rausch) Baum, age 83 of Maryville, IL, born July 11, 1941, in St. Louis MO, passed away at her residence on Friday, February 14, 2025.

Gloria was a 1959 graduate of Notre Dame Academy all girls Catholic high school in Belleville, IL. She considered some of the best years of her life to be while she was married to her beloved Paul Baum and they owned the Pines Restaurant and Lounge in Collinsville, IL.

Although she was rarely on time, Gloria was always the life of the party and very much enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She was quite known for her impeccable style and was always up for an adventure! Her very favorite thing to do was travel and she was lucky enough to have visited many places around the world. She loved Christmas time, decorating and showering her loved ones with gifts. Some of her other hobbies included dancing, scuba diving, camping, and “dropping a twenty” into a machine here and there. She had been a member of the Collinsville Junior Service Club and also enjoyed spending time giving back to her community as a member of Faith In Action.

Gloria was preceded in death by her Beloved Ex-Husband, Paul Baum; her parents Lyle and Doretta (Keil) Rausch; and her infant brother, Michael Rausch.

She is survived by her five children, Steven (Beth) Burns, of Troy, IL, Mary Beth (Clyde) Robb, of Smithton, IL, Barry (Lynda) Burns, of Maryville, IL, Jeffrey (Fran) Burns, of Fairview Heights, IL, and Jodi (Chris) Neimann, of St. Jacob, IL; 11 beautiful and talented grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; a brother, Lyle (Mary) Rausch, brother, Bryan (Darlene) Rausch, sister, Donna (Randy) Wilshusen, and many nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be made to Ss. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, or Faith In Action.
