Glenn Richard Lankford of Albion, IL, age 33, passed from this life into the arms of Jesus at 8:55 p.m., Wednesday, January 15, 2020 at Fairfield Memorial Hospital, surrounded by family and friends.

Glenn was born June 11, 1986 in Evansville, IN to Danny and Teresa Lankford. He had been a student of Edwards County School District #1, attending South School in Mt. Carmel and Albion Grade School. Glenn graduated from Brownsville School and had been a client of Career Development Center, Fairfield. He had been a patient of Riley Children’s Hospital. Through the years, Glenn had participated in Special Olympics and Oil Belt Special Needs Day Camp. Glenn was considered an Honorary Member of the Little Prairie Praise Band.

Glenn especially enjoyed attending the Henderson Blues Festival each summer and listening to music of any kind, sometimes boisterously joining in with a voice somewhere between a baritone and a foghorn. Correct words were optional. Glenn was a fan of Woody and Buzz from the movie Toy Story, and spent hours making his “Woody” character doll “dance his legs off.” Buzz was his constant companion at the end. “To infinity and beyond!”

Glenn is survived by his father and mother/caretakers Danny and Teresa Lankford, sister/co-caretakers Danielle (Stan) Kimbell, brother Lawson (Annie) Lankford, his dear, nephew and niece, Drew and Olivia Lankford and his best buddy Rob Burton. Also surviving are aunts Tonya Townsend and Joselyn Hearring, and uncle, Dr. Bruce Felgenhauer, and several cousins, and too many friends to name individually.

Glenn is preceded in death by his grandparents Robert G. and Clara F. Lankford and Richard and Vera Felgenhauer; uncles Larry Felgenhauer and Robert E. Lankford; and cousin Matthew Felgenhauer.

A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, January 18, 2020 at Little Prairie Christian Church, west of Albion, beginning at 1 p.m., officiated by Tom Cater and Aaron McCaleb, and followed by burial at Little Prairie Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to Brownsville School, and envelopes will be available at the service.
