Gleneva Sue Owen, 77, of Peoria, Illinois passed away Thursday, September 2, 2021, at Richard L. Owen Hospice House in Peoria, Illinois.
Gleneva was born September 19, 1943, at Olney, Illinois to Glen W. and Eva Genieve (Gill) Ellis. She married Thomas Owen September 1979. He preceded her in death July 14, 2019.
Gleneva was a hairdresser and owned her own hair salon. She enjoyed sewing, crafting, and visiting with friends in the senior apartments she lived in.
Gleneva attended Mass on Sunday’s at Fraternite of Notre Dame where she helped wrap presents, helped with the food pantry, and helped make sandwiches for the homeless.
Gleneva is survived by her stepmother and her husband, Irene and Ralph Kelly of East Peoria, Illinois; one son Steve (Wendy) Liston of Crystal Lake, Illinois; three grandchildren Sara (Travis) Strubing, Casey Liston and Erin Liston and two great grandchildren Madison Strubing and Penelope Strubing. Also surviving are several stepchildren, step grandchildren and step great grandchildren.
Preceding her in death were her parents, husband, and son Stacy Liston.
Cremation rites were accorded. There is no service.
