Geraldine Lott, nee Byrns, 97, of Lebanon, IL died September 12, 2008 at the Lebanon Care Center, Lebanon, IL. She was born on April 1, 1911 in Lebanon, IL, to Mose and Jennie (Williams) Byrns. Both are deceased. She married Harry Charles Randalls, Sr. and after his death, she later married Sam Lott.
In addition to her parents and husbands, she was preceded in death by one son, Harry "Tink" Charles Randall, Jr., two daughters, Roberta Maness, and infant daughter Mary Randalls, five brothers, Aubra Burns, Dave Byrns, Noble Burns, St. Clair Burns, and Butler Burns, six sisters, Molly Mitchell, Carrie Willis, Charity Burns, Antoinette Burns, Alice "Ruth" Burns, and Cora Burns, two grandsons, Jerome Randalls and Robert Maness.
She is survived by her grandchildren, Vickie (Glenn) Bates, Centralia, IL; Charles (Olga) Randalls, San Bernardino, CA; Timothy Staley, Victorville, CA, Armilla (Lambert) Henry, Highland, CA; Gary (Gloria) Maness, Houston, TX; Rev. Valerie Maness, Kathleen Maness, both of Waterbury, CT; Debra (John) Mitchell, Springfield, MA and Ronald Maness, Spring, TX. Great Grandchildren, Courtney (Bobby) Pillot, Armilla Bates, Pontiac, MI; Charles Randalls, Jr, San Bernardino, CA, Armilla T. Staley and Timothy Staley, both of Las Vegas, NV; Armilla M. Henry and Breanna Henry, Highland, CA; Johana Fleming, Wolcott, CT; Monique White, Aaron Fleming, Aletha (Brian) Minnis, and Deanna (John) Davis all of Waterbury, CT; Tiffany Maness, Tristan Maness, Jermel Maness and Sharona Maness all of Houston, TX; Tia Maness of Los Angeles, CA; LaRessa Keller-Griffin in the US Air Force at Korea, Esia King, Alex (Nina) King, and Trudy Mitchell, Joshua Mitchell of Springfield, MA, 23 Great, Great, Grandchildren and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
Mrs. Lott was a housekeeper and the oldest living member of the Greater Mt. Olive Baptist Church, having been a member for 85 years. She was 12 years old when she joined and during her membership she held the position of Church Clerk and Trustee for a period of 46 years. She also was on the Mothers Board, and served as the head of the Missionary Society and the Culinary Division.
VISITATION: 5:00 - 7:00 P.M. Friday, Sept. 19, 2008 at Meyer Funeral Home, Lebanon, IL.
FUNERAL SERVICE: 10:00 A.M. Saturday, Sept. 20, at Greater Mt. Olive Baptist Church, Lebanon, IL with Rev. Dr. W.J. Griffin officiating, and burial in College Hill Cemetery, Lebanon, IL.
Memorials may be made to the Building Fund of the Church.
