      Gary J. “Moe” Feldmann, 50, of Highland, IL, died Thursday, March 9, 2023, at Barnes Jewish Hospital, in St. Louis, MO.

      Gary was born October 11, 1972, to Gary and Diane (nee Frey) Feldmann, in Highland, IL. On December 26, 1996, he married Karen Plocher at Immaculate Conception Church in Pierron, IL.

      Moe owned and operated Feldmann Homes Inc., a residential construction company. He built many homes in and around the Highland area through the years. He was a huge supporter of the Highland Quarterback Club and was a big fan of football and many sports. Moe was an avid trout fisherman. Their beloved cabin at Montauk State Park was his second home. Moe was the best friend and host to all who knew him. Above all, his family was everything, especially his wife and two children. His favorite past time was watching his children play sports and enjoying their “Family Fun” times.

      Moe is survived by his wife of 26 years, Karen Feldmann, Highland, IL; loving children, Brady Feldmann and Kaitlyn Feldmann, both of Highland, IL; mom and dad, Diane and Joe “Bud” Reidelberger, Highland, IL; sister, Joann (significant other, Jamie Hedrick) Reidelberger, Highland, IL; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Gene and Jane Plocher, Highland, IL; brother-in-law and sisters-in-law, Scott (Brenda) Plocher, Highland, IL, and Lisa Scholl, Highland, IL; several nieces, nephews and many dear friends.

      In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Highland Quarterback Club.

      Celebration of Life Open House: Sunday, March 12, 2023, from 1:00 to 4:00 pm, at Helvetia Sharpshooters Hall, Lindendale Park, Highland, IL.

      Interment: Calvary Cemetery, Pierron, IL

      Meridith Funeral Home, Highland, IL

      So sorry for your loss, our prayers go out to Mo’s wife and family. Had the opportunity to meet Gary back in 2013 when he built our home for us took a liking to him right away, very honest and hard-working individual, a friendship was formed. God bless Karen and the children. Mo will be sadly missed.🙏

      At one time in my life, Moe and I were as close as anybody could have ever been as friends. We were more like brothers. I met Moe when I was 16 years old. We met at a party. I was leaving, and Moe said, “Hey Bird, can I get a ride with you. I had a 1967 Ford Fairlane 500 convertible with a 390 engine. As we were driving, Moe asked Bird if this was as fast as this thing could go? I pushed the gas to the floor until we was around 120mph. We went out the following weekend, and he drove. He had his old Monte with tee tops. He gave me a ride, much like I had given him. I saw we were the same in many ways. We became buds throughout the next 20 years of our lives doing just about everything. I was in his wedding and he was in mine. I guess life itself and the starting of our own families pulled us apart. Our lives crossed paths on occasions. I still think of him as a brother. His passing hurts me deeply. My prayers and condolences go out to all of his family. To my brother Moe. Well, Bird, until we meet again in the heavens. Love you, man!
