Frank T. Kohler, 82 of Alhambra, IL died May 13, 2008 at Alhambra Care Center, Alhambra, IL. He was born in Waterloo, IL on June 24, 1925 to Frank V. and Anna H., nee Wuertz, Kohler. He married Joan V. Schmidt February 22, 1964 in E. St. Louis, IL, and she preceded him in death November 24, 2007.
Also preceded in death by a daughter in infancy, a sister, Anna Marie Kohler and a brother, Louis Kohler.
He is survived by two daughters, five sons; Pam (Chris) Balkenbusch, Highland, IL; Beth (Mike Willey) Chartrand, Dettmer, MO; Mike (Bessie) Kohler, Mt. Vernon, IL; Frankie Kohler, Hubert Kohler, Ruby Kohler and Mike Kohler all of Florida, eight grandchildren, Brandy, Christy, Nicholas, April, Tony, Ashley, Zachary, Austin, four great grandchildren, Alex, Trevor, Mickala, Danil; one sister, Monica (Marvin) Hitzemann, Waterloo, IL; two brothers, Hubert Kohler of Ohio, and Julian Kohler, Waterloo, IL, several nieces and nephews.
He was a veteran serving in the U.S. Navy, WWII, Pacific Theatre.
He worked as a Machinist in Mt. Vernon, IL all of his adult life.
He was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church, Highland, IL.
Visitation: Friday, May 16, 2008 from 1:00 - 3:00 p.m. @ Meridith Funeral Home, Highland, IL.
Funeral: Friday, May 16 at 3:00 p.m. at the funeral home with Fr. Charles A. Edwards, Pastor of St. Paul Church officiating. Burial in St. Joseph Cemetery, Highland, IL.
