Florian T. “Flo” Barth, 89, of Highland, IL, died Saturday, November 17, 2012 at Faith Countryside Homes, Highland, with her family by her side.
She was born January 19, 1923, in St. Rose, IL, the daughter of Philo and Margaret (Nee Boeing) Barth.
Ms. Barth, an office clerk, retired from Edison Brothers in St. Louis, MO, after completing over 30 years of service. She was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church, Highland, IL, and a former member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, Belleville, IL, and also had been a member of Weinheimer Senior Citizens, Highland, IL.
She is survived by her sisters, Clara (Edward) Lucas, Ida Aguiar; brother-in-law, William Knapp; sister-in-law, Jacqueline Barth; 24 nieces and nephews; many great-nieces and nephews; several great-great-nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Philo and Margaret Barth; 2 brothers, Joseph O. Barth, James P. Barth; 1 sister, Ludwina Knapp; 1 brother-in-law, Armondo Aguiar; sister-in-law, Rita A. (nee Frisse) Barth; 1 nephew, Mark Lucas.
Memorials may be made to Meals on Wheels or St. Joseph Hospital.
Visitation: Tuesday, November 20, 2012, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. and Wednesday, November 21, 2012, from 8:00 to 9:30 a.m. at Meridith Funeral Home, Highland, IL
Mass of Christian Burial: Wednesday, November 21, 2012 at 10:00 a.m., at St. Paul Catholic Church, Highland, IL.
