    Ethel Vernette “Nettie” Johnson, 78, of Lebanon, IL, died Sunday, September 27, 2015, at her home surrounded by her family.

    Nettie was born July 7, 1937 to Chester and Mary “Mae” Missey in Blackwell, MO.  On September 21, 1974, she married Norman F. Johnson in Belleville, IL.

    Family and friends were of the most importance to Nettie.  She loved spending time with them and especially her children and grandchildren.  She was always up for a good card game, or ready to head out to all the yard sales.  Nettie always wanted to help and offer care for anyone and everyone.  She drove the school bus for Lebanon School District for many years, and is remembered fondly by many.  Nettie will be missed by many. 

    She was preceded in death by her parents, Chester and Mae Missey; husband, Norman F. Johnson, Sr.; 4 brothers; 3 sisters.

    She is survived by her children, Vince (Mona) Frazier, Summerfield, IL, Tony (Lisa) Frazier, Lebanon, IL, Kim (Kevin) Karraker, New Baden, IL; grandchildren, Mechelle Frazier, T. J. Frazier, Kasie (Cameran Keepper) Frazier, Kari Frazier, Shelby Dunlap, Kaden Karraker; sisters, Margie (Lamar) Kaiser, Trenton, IL, Evelyn Harris, Lebanon, IL; special friend, Betty Lienau; many nieces and nephews.  

    Memorials may be made to Summerfield Cemetery Association.

    Visitation: Wednesday, September 30, 2015, from 5:00 to 8:00 pm and Thursday, October 1, 2015, from 9:00 to 10:00 am at Meyer Funeral Home, Lebanon, IL. 

    Funeral: Thursday, October 1, 2015, at 10:00 am at Meyer Funeral Home, Lebanon, IL.
