    ELNORA ‘JEAN’ JANE MCCANN, 84, of Cisne, Illinois passed away Sunday, June 16, 2019 at Aperion Care in Fairfield, Illinois.

    Jean was born September 29, 1934 at Portersville, West Virginia to Charles Jennings and Nancy Ann (Pelfrey) baker. She married Jerry Leroy McCann, Sr. September 29, 1954 at Knoxville, Tennessee. He preceded her in death April 5, 2001.

    Jean was a member of the Cisne Eastern Star Lodge #973 and served as Worthy Matron in 1980. and a member of Elm River United Methodist Church. She worked in the dietary department at Way-Fair Nursing Home in Fairfield.

    Jean is survived by two sons Jerry (Cheryl) McCann, Jr. and Clarence McCann both of Fairfield, Illinois; one sister Stella Arlene Coley, Shawnee, Oklahoma and one brother John Wesley baker of Flatwoods, Kentucky. Six grandchildren and eight great grandchildren also survive.

    Preceding her in death were her husband Jerry Sr. and sons Mark, Buddy, David and Robert Dale.

    Graveside services for Jean McCann will be 11:00 am Wednesday, June 19, 2019 at Barth Cemetery near Cisne, Illinois.

    Memorials may be given to the Wayne County Humane Society or Warren G. Murray Developmental Center in Centralia and will be accepted at Hosselton-Meridith Funeral Home.

    Hosselton-Meridith Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with the arrangements.

    Jean was and amazing,loving sister-in-law who I will miss. A beautiful loving soul has entered heavin and may she find peace with all her loving family that waits for her there. I will have you in my heart forever. Rest in peace.

    I will always remember Jeannie as one of the kindest, gentle, loving ladies I have ever met. My deepest sorrow for my nephews Jerry and Clarence. My wife Lynda and I wish we could be with you.     So sad to see the passing of a wonderful sister-in-law. You have been loved from day one and have been in our hearts and thoughts all along. Wish we could of had one more day together, but you will always be with us and bring a smile to our faces. Love forever and ever, David and Camille McCann.
