I and my brothers and sister will miss our dear, sweet, Aunt Eleanor. She was a wonderful blessing in our lives. I will especially miss our regular letters, written over the past four or five decades. We send heartfelt condolences to her entire family.

I met Eleanor by chance several years ago at Burgin Manor while visiting members of my church. I was drawn to her sweet personality and kind heart. She loved sharing stories about her life but also enjoyed hearing about mine as well. I would usually go on Thursday mornings to play my flute for the residents. She loved to sing and was very good at it. One of her favorite songs I played was “Trees of the Field.” She would sing & clap along. She was always so joyful & positive and I knew she loved God with all her heart. I’m going to miss sitting & chatting with her but I know she’s in Heaven now, probably singing her heart out. I am truly blessed to have known Eleanor and call her my friend.
