    Edna J. “Jo” Long, 83, of Pocahontas IL died Tuesday, October 18, 2016, at Faith Countryside Apartments, Highland, IL.
    Jo was born March 6, 1933 to Othmar and Mary Ann (nee Feehan) Long, in Pocahontas, IL.
    She was a member of St Nicholas Church, Pocahontas, a former Trustee of Robinson Cemetery and a proud graduate of Pocahontas High School. She worked at Swift & Co. as an Office Manager for 31 years. Jo loved to bake, especially cookies, for any and all occasions. She liked to watch St Louis Cardinals baseball and was an avid softball player well into her 40’s. She was the picture taker, always with her disposable camera handy.
    She is preceded in death by her Parents, Othmar and Mary Ann Long; Sister, Catherine Ann Long-Zika; two Brothers-in-law, Charles Zika and Eugene “Popeye” Kovach.
    Jo is survived by her Sisters, MaryLee Long-Kovach, Pocahontas, IL, Margaret Therese (Harry) Long-Zediker, Collinsville, IL; Nieces and Nephews, Pamela Zika, St Louis, MO., Michael (Corky Frey) Zika, Lake of the Ozarks, MO, Laura Kovach (Harry Wilks) Huntington Beach, Ca, Jan (Denny) Trobaugh, Highland, Lynn Kovach Kohlbrecher, Highland, IL; Great Nieces and Nephews, Nicci (Tom) Zika-Egbert., Brea (Jeff) Zika-Rossen, Michael Trobaugh, Sarah Trobaugh, Harley Kohlbrecher; Great-great nieces and nephews, Raeleigh, Rayna, and Dylan.
    Memorials may be made to St Nicholas Church or St Nicholas Altar Sodality.
    Visitation: Thursday, October 20, 2016, from 4:00 to 7:00 pm and Friday, October 21, 2016 from 8:00 to 9:30 am at Meridith Funeral Home, Pocahontas.
