Duane E. Metzger

Duane E. Metzger, 55, of Pocahontas, IL, died Saturday, May 23, 2020, at his residence.

Duane was born November 23, 1964, to Raymond and Barbara (nee Haller) Metzger, in Highland, IL.

He loved all of his children and grandchildren, and spent as much time as he could with them.

He enjoyed woodworking, fishing, and watching westerns, but driving his truck was his passion. He studied and worked hard to be an auctioneer and loved it until his voice gave out on him.

He is survived by his mother, Barbara Winters, Pocahontas, IL; children, Buffy Shepherd, Pocahontas, IL, Heather Tetreau, Millersburg, IL, Chris (Brooke) Towell, Rochester, IN, Tabitha Buhman, St. Louis, MO, and Danny (Sydney) Metzger Rose, Pocahontas, IL; 17 grandchildren; brothers, Brian Metzger, Pocahontas, IL, Ray (Stephanie) Metzger, Pocahontas, IL, Henry Allen Metzger, Greenville, IL; sister, Becky (Jim) Hayes, Millesburg, IL; nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Raymond E. Metzger.
