Margaret we are so saddened to hear of this. Doug was one of the kindest and most God fearing men I’ve ever had the honor to call a friend. Praying for you all daily and know that heaven rejoiced the day he went to be with the Lord. God bless you all.

Deepest condolences to all the family on the passing of Doug.
Doug was one of the best in the 1970 ECHS graduating class, which I have to say included many really outstanding human beings. Doug could make you laugh and make you think, depending on the topic at hand.
I remember fondly, being Doug’s roommate on our Senior Trip to NY, Washington, Gettysburg. I still think of the fun we all had 52 years ago traveling together as a class. Our parents were such close friends, it just seemed natural for Doug and I to be friends. I remember sitting in his parent’s living room watching as our countrymen landed on the moon.
Doug was unbelievably intelligent, but he could play the country bumpkin so well, and have you rolling on the floor with laughter. He could have done well as a character actor. Forever, when I think of Doug, it will be bring a smile to my face, with a memory of his unique crackling voice jumping octaves. If we could all be so kind as this man.
God Bless, Margaret and the Kids, and Grands

Prayers to all of Doug’s family. I went to Browns Grade School with Doug. He was my best “Friend “ and we did everything together. From sports to plays etc. We kind of lost track of each other when we got to High School but we always knew we had something special during Grade School! Rest In Peace My Friend!
