    Donald C. (Don) Schroen Jr., 69, of Collinsville, IL, passed away Saturday, July 10, 2021, at Barnes Jewish Hospital, St. Louis, MO, surrounded by family and loved ones.

    Don was born September 27, 1951 to Donald C. Sr. and Marietta (nee Colston) Schroen, in East St. Louis, IL.  He married Sharon Marie Smith on December 19, 1970 in Edgemont, IL.

    He graduated from Ranken Technical School and was an exceptional auto body journeyman/painter. Don owned D&D Auto Body for many years. He enjoyed spending time with his friends and family.

    He was preceded in death by his father, Donald C. Schroen Sr.; step-father, Edward L. Garth; son, Donnie Schroen III; favorite uncle, Kenny Schroen.

    Don is survived by his mother Marietta (Bob) Sprague; wife, Sharon M. Schroen; daughter, Rachel (Wayne) Kaminski; son, Erik (Lisa) Schroen; grandchildren, Kayla (fiancé, Braden Dyer) Kaminski, Garrett (fiancé, Cailyn Nosbisch) Kaminski, Rylee, Sawyer and Carson Schroen; favorite aunt, Linda Schroen.

    Memorials made be made to Metro East Humane Society.

    Visitation: Friday, July 16, 2021, from 9:00 to 11:30 am, at Kassly-Meridith Funeral Home, Collinsville, IL.

    Memorial Service: Friday, July 16, 2021, 11:30 am, Kassly-Meridith Funeral Home, Collinsville, IL.

    Clergy: Pastor Hal Santos, Grace Church, Fairview Heights, IL

    Interment: Private
