    Dolores R. Elliott, 83, of Olney, IL, passed from this world to her heavenly home on Saturday, November 18, 2023.

    She was born on September 1, 1940, in Cowling, IL, to the late Leo and Caradena (nee Stadler) Higginson. On December 30, 1961, Dolores married Drue Elliott in Cowling, IL.

    Dolores had a love for hats and jewelry, amassing quite a collection throughout her life. She enjoyed watching wildlife from her window and playing with her grandchildren. A loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, Dolores will be missed by all who knew her.

    She is survived by her husband, Drue Elliott; daughters, Michelle R. (Michael) Keepes, Mt. Carmel, IL, Angelique L. (Jon) Waxler, Olney, IL; grandchildren, Sara E. Keepes, Evansville, IN, Nicolas D. Waxler, Olney, IL, Madison R. (Doug) Muhs, Olney, IL; great granddaughter, Stella K. Muhs, Olney, IL; and favorite nephew and niece, Lee and Cindy Elliott, Grayville, IL.

    Visitation: Wednesday, November 22, 2023, from 9:00 to 11:00 am, at Ingram Meridith Funeral Home, Albion, IL

    Funeral Service: Wednesday, November 22, 2023, 11:00 am, at Ingram Meridith Funeral Home, Albion, IL

    Interment: Graceland Cemetery

    Sending prayers,hugs and love to Dru and the family….my time with Dolores was short,but I am forever grateful for the opportunity to serve ,and to get to know them,I called her MY DOLORES,and she told me she really liked that!!! 😥what a blessing she was to me I enjoyed her so very much!
