    Dollora Bosché, 88, of Normal, IL died Sunday, Dec. 19, 2010, at Heritage Manor in Normal, IL.

    A funeral service will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, December 28, 2010, at Meridith Funeral Home, Highland, IL.  Burial will follow in Highland City Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until time of the service.  Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church, Highland or Louis Latzer Memorial Public Library, Highland.

    She was born May 12, 1922, in rural Highland, the daughter of Wilbur and Alice (nee Rogier) Genre. She married W. J. Bosché, Jr. of St. Louis, MO, on October 28, 1944, in Mount Vernon, IL. He died November 5, 1997.

    She is survived by six children, Nancy Bosché of Mission, Kansas, Carol Bosché (James Wasmuth) of Grosse Pointe Woods, Michigan, Greg Bosché (Barb Hoffman) of Warner, New Hampshire, Joanne Bosché of Cincinnati, Ohio, Barbara Bosché (Erik Van Vleck) of Lawrence, Kansas, and Marie Bosché (Randy Sharer) of Normal, IL; seven grandchildren, Suzanne Southard (Tim Hill) of Baltimore, Maryland, Andy Southard (Wendy) of Baldwin City, Kansas, Grady Southard (Emily Serafin) of Brooklyn, New York, Ben Wasmuth of Chicago, IL, Haley and Alex Van Vleck of Lawrence, Kansas, and Molly Sharer of Normal, IL; three great-grandchildren, Owen and Carly Hill and Leah Southard; three sisters, Eileen Ronat, Bangor, Maine, Joyce (Joe) Hayes, Cheektowaga, New York, and Vivian Justice, Valparaiso, Florida along with numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.

    She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, one daughter, and a lap cat named Boogie, who lived to age 22.

    Dollora graduated from Greenville High School in 1939 and attended St. Louis Business College. She worked at Ralston Purina in St. Louis, where she met her future husband. After they married and their first child was born, she devoted herself to the work of raising a family. She lived most of her life in Highland. She was a member of Bethany Baptist Church, rural Highland and a charter member of First Baptist Church in Highland.

    Dollora was a wonderful and loving wife and mother, who truly lived her faith by being unselfish, dignified, and compassionate to all. She loved to watch the birds, and knew the name of every wildflower along the country roads around Highland.

    The family would like to thank Patty and Theresa of Passages Hospice and the staff at Evergreen Village Supportive Living and Heritage Manor of Normal for their excellent care, compassion, and friendship.
