Delmar H. "Jack" Foehner, 81, of Millersburg, IL died May 6, 2009 @ 4:30 a.m. in St. Louis University Hospital, St. Louis, MO. He was born in Flora, IL, January 26, 1928 to Delmar H. and Erla Mildred (Forsman) Foehner. He married Ruth E. Wagner on May 6, 1950 in Pocahntas, Arkansas.
He is survived by: 3 Sons and 3 Daughters, Jack Foehner and Peggy Ulmer of Millersburg, IL; Barbara Ernst of Keene, TX; Gary (Lisa) Foehner and Jeff (Jeri) Foehner, Highland, IL; and Christine (Tim) Herbst, Greenville, IL; 11 Grandchildren - Jennifer Wells, Anna Watson, Mandy Ballenger, Julie Ulmer, Ellie & Whitley Foehner, Christopher Harris, Jenee & Maria Foehner, Briana & Kayla Martin. 7 Great Grandchildren.
Preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Ruth E. (Wagner) Foehner who died July 12, 2008; Parents, 1 Grandson - Jason Foehner; 1 Son-in-Law - Vallee Ulmer.
Jack worked at Alton Box (now Jefferson Smurfit) for 42 years. He was an avid baseball fan, and played for many years with Millersburg Wolves in 1946 through to Highland-Pierron Merchants in 1971.
Memorials may be offered to Shriners' Hospital or to donor's choice.
