      David L. Garner, 76, Bone Gap, IL, passed away on Thursday February 3, 2022, at his home.  He was born November 13, 1945, in Olney, IL, to Robert and Doris (Hortin) Garner.  David married Joyce Porter, June 11, 1964, in St. Petersburg, Fl.

      He was a member of the West Village Christan Church.

      David worked at Champion Laboratories for many years before retiring.  He loved fishing and deer hunting.  David enjoyed watching St. Louis Cardinals Baseball and Illini Basketball.  He loved spending time with family and was blessed to be able to help his dad farm before he passed away.  David loved life.

      He was preceded in death by death by his parents, Robert and Doris Garner, grandson Austin Speir, and his sister-in-law Lois Garner.

      Left to cherish their memories of David are his wife of 57 years Joyce Garner, Bone Gap, IL, two sons: Darren (Terry) Garner, Bone Gap, IL, Mike (Leslie) Garner, Stafford, VA, two brothers, Gary Garner, Mt. Carmel, IL, Jerry (Staretta) Garner, Albion, IL, granddaughter, Alexis Ann Garner, and nieces and nephews.

      Graveside Service:  Thursday, February 10, 2022, at 11:00 a.m., West Village Cemetery, Albion, IL.

      In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to Residential Hospice or West Village Cemetery.

      Ingram-Meridith Funeral Home of Albion, IL.

      I’m blessed for being able to call Dave my friend since our grade school days at Bellmont and carried on during our working days together at Champion. I am so sad to hear of his passing. Gary Wood
