    Dasie L. Bare, 86, of Pocahontas, IL, passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 6, 2024, in Highland, IL, surrounded by her loving family.

    She was born on July 4, 1938, in Houston, MO, to Loman and Verdie (nee Shoemaker) Longwell.

    Dasie's life was marked by her unwavering faith and deep commitment to her church, Cross of Victory. She served tirelessly as a Sunday school teacher and song leader, inspiring countless lives with her devotion to God and her compassionate spirit.

    Outside of her church duties, Dasie found joy in nurturing her flower garden, immersing herself in literature, and skillfully cross-stitching intricate designs. Her hobbies reflected her gentle nature and artistic talents, which she generously shared with those around her.

    Above all else, Dasie cherished her family dearly. Her greatest joy came from spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, showering them with love and creating cherished memories together. She was a treasured mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, and will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

    She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 10 years, George Bare; father, Loman Longwell; mother, Verdie Thorne; infant daughter, Sarah Shelton; siblings, Alvin Longwell, Frankie Longwell, Marion Daniels.

    Dasie is survived by her children, Brenda Shelton, Rodney Shelton, Tanya (Don) Rommerskirchen; step-children, Glenda Bell, Denise (Rick) Estes; grandchildren, Brandon Shelton, Whitnye Kessinger, Katie (Charlie) Snow, Loren Shelton, Jacob (Lyndsey) Rommerskirchen, Jacob (Tricia) Wiseman, Paige Wendle, Jayne Wendle, Carly Estes, Lindsey Turner; great-grandchildren, Devon Kessinger, Madyson Kessinger, Bryson Kessinger, Noah Snow, Lily Kessinger, Ayden Mincey, Alyssa Jiulianti, Vincent Jiulianti; step-mother and best friend, Alice Longwell; siblings, Joyce Schaefer, Shirley Thacker, Joanie McClelland, Kellie Hernandez, David Longwell, Carolyn, McCray; nieces, nephews, and many loving friends.

    Memorials may be made to Cross of Victory Church.

    I Thank God giving us kids the best Mom ever.She loved us all..Her kids grandkids,great grandkids meant everything on earth to her.     Dasie my beloved sister whom I will rejoice with again with her and the Lord in Heaven. I love and miss my beautiful sister! Dasia was a prayer warrior and would go to battle for her family and friends.
