Darlene J. Chambless, 81, of Collinsville, IL, passed away on Friday, January 24, 2025, at White Hall Nursing Home in White Hall, IL
Darlene’s greatest joy in life was her family. As a devoted mother and grandmother, she poured her heart into creating a home filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories. Her children and grandchildren were her world, and she found endless happiness in their accomplishments and togetherness. Darlene’s warmth, selflessness, and unwavering dedication to her family will be remembered and treasured forever.
She was born on December 22, 1943, in East St Louis, IL, to John and Sadie “Dollie” (nee Frey) Morietta. On August 16, 1991, she married Ralph “Gene” Chambless.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 33 years, Ralph “Gene” Chambless, parents, John and Sadie “Dollie” Morietta, son-in-law, Scott Branch.
Darlene is survived by her children, Jeff (Kelly) Lamoreaux, Debbie Branch; grandchildren, Luke (Alexa) Lamoreaux, Alex Lamoreaux, Sarah (Cody) Conner, Jimmy Murphy; step-grandchildren, Amy Branch, James Branch, Brandan Branch, Jason Branch; brother Larry (Linda) Morietta, nieces, nephews and many loving friends.
Visitation: Friday, January 31, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM, at Kassly-Meridith Funeral Home, in Collinsville, IL.
Service: Friday, January 31, 2025, 12:00 PM, Kassly-Meridith Funeral Home, Collinsville, IL.
Interment: Augusta Cemetery, St. Jacob, IL.
