    Clifford Ray Lowe, 73, of Geff, IL. passed away Saturday, June 24, 2023, at his home. He was born November 23, 1949, to Clifford Glenn and Bonita “Bonnie” Leathers Lowe.

    Clifford was a veteran of the United States Army during the Vietnam war he was stationed in Germany. He was a member of the Round Prairie General Baptist Church. Anyone who knew him would say he loved farming, riding horses and beekeeping with his uncle Dee and brother Kevin, but most of all he loved his family. He will be remembered as a wonderful father, papa, son, brother, and friend. He will be missed by many.

    Clifford is survived by his significant other Doris Henson of 36 years; one daughter Jennifer (Berton) Brooker of Cisne, IL. and one son Clifford Corey ( Julie ) Lowe of Salem, IL; and Doris’s son Roger (Heidi) Henson of Flora, IL; and stepson Darren (Yvonne) Sullenger of Paducah KY; seven grandchildren, Chrissie Carroll, Tyler (Rashelle) Brooker, Taner Brooker, MacKenzie (Brett) Rightnowar, Dawson Webster, Torey Brooker and Carter Lowe, seven greatgrandchildren Quinten, Brock, Tucker and Turner Brooker, Alijha, Remington and Brantley Carroll; also surviving Doris’s eight grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren; two sisters Glenda (Jerry) Schell of Cisne, IL, Carolyn (George) Matchet of Cisne, IL, a brother Kevin (Ronda) Lowe of Cisne, IL; several nieces and nephews also survive.

    He is preceded in death by his parents. Clifford Glenn and Bonita “Bonnie” Lowe.

    Visitation: Wednesday, June 28, 2023, from 5-7pm at Hosselton-Meridith Funeral Home in Cisne, IL.

    Funeral Services: Thursday, June 29, 2023, at 10:30am at Round Prairie General Baptist Church south of Cisne, IL.

    Burial: will be in Round Prairie Cemetery with military honors provided by Anthony Wayne American Legion Post 176 and Wayne Memorial Post 4535 VFW.

    Memorials may be given to Round Prairie General Baptist Church and will be accepted at the funeral home or at the church,

    Doris and Family i am so sorry to here of Cliffs passing.May Gods love sound you all at this time of grief. Cliff is with the Lord now and that should be some comfort.

    To The Family of Clifford Ray Lowe: So sorry to see that your Loved One has passed away. I don’t know if any of you will remember me so I must tell you that I am Marilyn (Shehorn) Tarbutton I lived in Illinois until June, 1959 and moved away to Nevada. I went to Berry Grade School and Wayne City High School so I remember the Lowe and Leathers Family of years ago. I know that all of you will miss him but remember the good times you had with him over the years as the memories are so precious.     This is Carl Weaver and it’s 11 am on Thursday and I just found out that I’m missing the funeral. I seldom use social media due to my lack of tech know how so here I sit as the opportunity for showing my respect for Clifford Ray and expressing my sympathy to you all slips away. I sincerely apologize for my absence because I certainly wanted to be there!
    I’ve lifted you all up to the Lord in prayer since hearing about your loss! Please forgive me for not being there!

    John and I would like to express our deepest sympathy during your time of bereavement. Your cousin, Sharon Oestretcher, had been lifting you and your family up in prayer at our church, Beaver Creek Church in Floyd County, VA.
