Clarence R. “Lee” Lee, 73, of Troy, IL, passed away, Saturday, February 26, 2022, at Anderson Hospital, in Maryville, IL.

Clarence was born November 23, 1948, to Raymond and Eleanor (nee June) Lee, in New London, CT.  On December 26, 1987, he married Linda Carter in Las Vegas, NV.

Clarence was a Veteran of the United States Navy, retiring as a Chief Petty Officer after 26 years.  After leaving his military career, he became an independent owner/operator Truck Driver for over 40 years.  He was a member of the Troy, IL VFW Post 976, the Edwardsville Gun Club, and the Collinsville Airplane Club.

Clarence lived in St. Joseph, MO for many years, moving to Troy, IL, in 1984.  He loved camping and made many friends; he especially enjoyed traveling in his R.V. to Arizona and Texas.  Everyone came to him for advice on camping.  He enjoyed remote control cars, boats and airplanes, and liked to ride his electric bike.  Clarence was a good man, and a caring person who was loved by all.  There was never enough good you could say to describe his character, he was always there to help whenever he could.  For those who knew him, the world lost an incredible man.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Eleanor Lee.

Clarence is survived by his loving wife, Linda Lee, Troy, IL; children, David M. (Iris) Lee, Jamie Lynn (Wes) Koch; grandchildren, Malia and Carter Koch; siblings, Robert Lee, Raymond Lee, Michael (Lisa) Lee, Jean Marie Lee, Theresa (Jerry) Winterhalter; several nieces and nephews; and special friends, Virginia (Randy) Obermark, Lenny (Tina) Morrow and Craig (Carol) Hayes.

Love you Uncle.. you are missed already. The memories made with you are going to last a lifetime. From seeing you put in a wheelchair and rolled out of Heart Attack grill to sharing 100 chicken nuggets at a Blythe McDonalds. Life was always easygoing and fun with you.

Some people get to phone a friend as their helpline. For me I got to call Dad. If it needed to be fixed, if it had a motor, if it involved camping or towing or a million other questionable if situations you always knew a way to handle it. Thank you for always answering. No more open ocean, no more miles ahead and no more politics sonrest easy pop. I’ll see ya later ~
