Chris D. Frick, 61, of Highland, IL died June 11, 2010 at St. Joseph Hospital, Highland, IL. He was born March 15, 1949 in Saginaw, Michigan to Eugene Chris and Mary Louise (nee Brown) Frick. He married Mary A. Weiss, April 16, 1981 at their residence.
Chris had worked for the U.S. Civil Service at the Aviation Command in St. Louis for many years. In his early years, he was a truck driver for EF Trucking in Highland, IL. For the last 10 years, he was a Tour Bus Driver for Cavallo Bus Lines based in Gillespie, IL.
He retired as M/SGT from the Air force Reserves and had also served two tours in Viet Nam and one tour in Desert Storm.
He was a member of the Highland VFW Post 5694; Highland American Legion Post 439 and Air Commando Assn.
He is Survived by his wife, Mary A. (nee Weiss) Frick, Highland, IL; One son, Jami (Eva) Weiss, Granite City, IL; Three sisters, Kathy (Vernon) Hitz, Weldon, IA; Doris Brady, Onaway, MI; Bernice Green, Grayling, MI. Also, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Preceded in death by his Parents, two brothers, Sonny Frick and Bill Hatton.
VISITATION: Monday, June 14, 2010 from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. and Tuesday, June 15, 2010 from 8:00 - 10:00 a.m. at the Meridith Funeral Home, 1223 Broadway, Highland, IL.
FUNERAL SERVICE: Tuesday, at 10:00 a.m. at the Meridith Funeral Home, Highland, IL with Rev. David Amsden, Pastor, Son Life Church, Collinsville, IL officiating.
INTERMENT: Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis, MO with Full Military Honors.
