    • Full Obituary

China Sage (Abby) Haycraft of West Salem, IL, made her journey from the earth to the stars on June 25th, 2023.

She was a light that illuminated any room she stepped into.  She simply adored and lived to love her children and spent every moment of her life showering them with love and attention.  All of her children adored her and couldn't spend a second away from her.  She loved to dance, sing, and live every moment to the fullest.  She was the biggest Stevie Nicks fan.  She always binge watched Friends and Grey's Anatomy and loved Adam Sandler movies.  She enjoyed looking at the stars at night, being outside, and loved collecting crystals.  She was a force that attracted everyone to her.  To have known her was the most special blessing.  She loved intensely and made sure those close to her felt that love.  It was a love unlike any other.

She was preceded in death by her soul companion, dog Bristina Waguilera , AKA “Bris” and her father, Kenny Abby.

She is survived by her mother Linda (Randy) Chalcraft; mother-in-law Debra Haycraft; husband Cheney Haycraft; daughter Lillian Jones, son Jax Vore, stepdaughter Hadley Haycraft, daughter Henley Haycraft, daughter Irelyn Haycraft, son Luca Haycraft; sister Catina (Scott) Burkdoll, sister Gretchen (Todd) Taylor, sister Hayle (Dustin) Dunham and brother, Cody Abby and several nieces and nephews.

Memorials to the children in care of Cheney Haycraft.

China Sage, I love that old soul of yours as in loving Stevie Nicks and Jerry Rafferty to the band 1975 and the War on Drugs which I listen to and love, and let’s talk about rock’s, I’ve seen her rock collection and I’m kinda jelly,so I will see you on the other side as I look to sky at night, when I reach down to pick up a beautiful rock and as I listen to Stevie Nicks and yes I will twirl for you China, with love Uncle Rick Doan

China, you were one of my long life best friends. I’ll never forget the times you would pop in my messages with the perfect music, excited to tell me “this one reminds me of you” or ask me “remember this one” or “remember when we were! Look at us now we would say! I’m saddened I can’t be there for you Friday, but our last talks assure me you understand. You left impressions on me no one else could ever and at one point in my life you were all I had. I’m so sorry for your familys loss of the wonderful mother you became. You were my biggest cheerleader the past few weeks I hope you know the strength I’ve gained from your helpful heart. Love you!

China, I remember the first day we met during speech class in college. Your spirit and energy was so incredibly contagious and we instantly clicked. You were such a breath of fresh air and a true loving friend during some very tough times. You never judged and you always opened your door for me without hesitation. Still to this day I have not met a spirit like yours. Thank you for being such a light and loving so deeply. Rest in peace beautiful lady. Prayers for your family.
