    Carol Lee Archer, 75, of Collinsville, IL, entered into rest on Tuesday, October 26, 2021, at her residence.

    She was born June 21, 1946 in Poplar Bluff, MO to Ralph and Doris (nee Gean) Cooper. On November 30, 1963, she married the love of her life, Gary Archer.

    Carol loved The Lord , her children, her grandchildren, and her dog, Chewy. She was very family oriented and could do anything...sew, crochet, garden, paint and draw.  She was an avid bowler, meeting many friends through bowling. She loved to cook and enjoyed cooking for everyone at family gatherings. Carol served on the Hospitality Team at the First Baptist Church in Maryville, IL.

    She was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph and Doris Cooper; husband, Gary M. Archer; brother, Larry Cooper; great grandchildren, Brady Carnes and Roy Burns, Jr.

    Carol is survived by her children, Angela (David) Stogner, Ann (Jack) Wolfe, Gary A. (Vicki) Archer; grandchildren, Nicole (Roy) Burns, Natalie (Kerry) Carnes, Joshua Stogner, Carolann Wolfe, Julia Archer; great grandchildren, Gracie Carnes, Macie Burns, Abigail Carnes, Sadie Burns, Bennett Carnes; sisters, Sue (Frank) Porch, Sherry (Gerry) Green; sisters-in-law, Sharon Cooper-Reynold, Paulette Archer.

    In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The National Kidney Foundation.

    Visitation: Thursday, October 28, 2021, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm, at First Baptist Church, Maryville, IL.

    Funeral Service: Friday, October 29, 2021, 10:00 am, First Baptist Church, Maryville, IL

    Clergy: Pastor Tom Hufty

    Interment: Sunset Hills Cemetery, Glen Carbon, IL.

    Kassly-Meridith Funeral Home, Collinsville, IL.
