Brett James Leathers, 62, of Grantfork, IL, passed away on Sunday, March 9, 2025, at home.
He was born on January 19, 1963, in Lansing, MI, to Robert and Marilyn Kay (née Robbins) Leathers Jr. On April 7, 1984, he married Diane D. Hediger, in Highland, IL.
Brett was a member of GADC (Grantfork Area Development Club) and a lifetime member of the North American Hunting Club and the National Rifle Association. He was preceded in death by his wife, Diane Leathers; parents, Robert & Marilyn Kay Leathers Jr; brothers, Robert Howard Leathers III and Brian Dean Leathers.
Brett is survived by his girlfriend, Jeanette “Netter” Schuster, Grantfork, IL; daughters, Jessica Janeil Leathers (Brian Schaefer), St. Louis, MO and Brittany Jae Leathers (Joshua Parker), California; granddaughter, Aurora Deneen Leathers-Schaefer; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
