Ava Lee Evans, 98, of Bone Gap, IL passed away on Wednesday September 28, 2022, at Meadowbrook Skilled Nursing and Rehab in Grayville, IL. She was born in Browns, IL on May 15, 1924, to Guy and Susan (Garris) Rigg.
Ava worked as a meat cutter for NG Briggs & Son’s General Store in Bone Gap. She worked for 30 years at Champion Laboratories before her retirement in 1988. Ava loved when her family would take her boating with them. She was an avid NASCAR fan and loved watching the races on TV.
She was a member of the Bone Gap Christian Church.
Ava is preceded in death by her parents Guy and Susan (Garris) Rigg; son, Mike Evans; sisters, Eva Gainer, Helen Briggs, Kathryn Rigg; brothers, William Rigg, Allen Rigg, Melvin Rigg and Guy Frazier Rigg.
She is survived by her daughter, Linda Pollard; two sons, Tom (Patti) Evans, and Doug Evans; seven grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Visitation: Saturday October 1, 2022, from 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m., Ingram Meridith Funeral Home, Albion, IL. The family requests those attending to dress casual.

Interment in Graceland Cemetery will be held at a later date.
