Annie Jean France, 76, of Lebanon, IL, died Saturday, December 7, 2013, at St. Elizabeth Hospital, Belleville, IL.
Annie was born July 3, 1937, to Wade E. and Victoria (nee Haynes) Tucker, in Tillar, AR. On January 21, 1965, she married Wiley J. France in Belleville, IL.
She attended church in Caseyville, IL. She worked for 30 years in a nursing home in O’Fallon, IL, as a nurse’s assistant, and also worked for many years at private residences as a caretaker.
She is survived by 1 son, Melvin Tucker, Lebanon, IL; 1 daughter, Ruth Ann (Bill) White, Baltimore, MD; 3 sisters, Hazel Brown, Barbara Fountain, Gloria Tucker; 2 brothers, Robert Tucker, Elijah Tucker; 1 grandchild, Mia Balitta.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Wade and Victoria Tucker; her husband, Wiley France (1992); 4 brothers, Wade Tucker, Jr., James Lee Tucker, Curtis Tucker, Huey Jones; 6 sisters, Novolia Tucker, Botany Tucker, Pauline Tucker, Gearline Tucker, Willie Mae Tucker, Mary Tucker-Harris.
Visitation: Friday, December 13, 2013, from 6:00 to 8:00 pm, at Meyer Funeral Home, Lebanon, IL.
Additional services will be held Saturday, December 21, 2013, at Brown Funeral Home, Dumas, AR, with burial in the Caldwell Cemetery, Winchester, AR.
