      Alma I. Missey (nee Thompson), 75, of Lebanon, IL, died Thursday, August 11, 2011 at her residence surrounded by her family.

      Alma was born June 14, 1936 to Henry and Rhoda (nee Watson) Thompson in Bunker, MO.  She married Melvin Missey on November 27, 1953 in Carpenter, IL.

      She was a homemaker for many years, and then worked as a cook at Bohannons Restaurant in Belleville, IL.  She was a C N A at a Nursing Home and as a private duty nurse.

      She is survived by 6 Children, Douglas (Shirley) Missey, Summerfield, IL, Barbara Missey, Lebanon, IL, Kenneth (Jacque) Missey, Lebanon, IL, Wanita Donaldson, Lebanon, IL, Robert Missey, Lebanon, IL, Calvin (Shelby) Missey, Staunton, IL; 18 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; 1 sister, Betty Geraldine (Russell) Pendagraft; 3 brothers, Johnny Thompson, Glen T. (Marilyn) Smith, Jack (Sharon) Thompson; numerous nieces and nephews.

      She was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin Missey; 4 children in infancy; 3 brothers; 1 sister.

      Services are Private.

      Clergy: Rev. Dr. Don Wagner, Pastor, St. Paul United Church of Christ.

      Interment: College Hill Cemetery.
