    Allen Martin Berberich, 76, of Lebanon, IL, passed away on Monday, October 11, 2021, in Aviston, IL.

    He was born on September 5, 1945, to Matt and Estella (nee Kebel) Berberich, in Trenton, IL. He married Arleen Steinkamp in Oakawville, IL, on May 31, 1969.

    Allen has lived in the St. Clair County area his entire life. He moved to Lebanon, IL, 51 years ago from where he grew up in Trenton, IL. He was a member of St. Paul UCC in Lebanon and the Carpenters Local 480. Allen was fond of woodworking, often making board games. He loved to go fishing and camping, especially at Carlyle Lake with his friends, and collected antique tractor toys. He was always around to lend a helping hand when you needed it. Allen lived a happy life, adoring his wife, children, siblings, nieces, and nephews.

    He was preceded in death by his parents, Matt and Estella Berberich; daughter, Karen Berberich; brothers, Bobby Berberich, Donald Berberich; sister, Kay Berberich in infancy; sisters-in-law, Rose Mary Berberich, Lida Berberich.

    Allen is survived by his wife, Arleen Berberich; daughter, Mary Berberich, Lebanon, IL; siblings, Pearl Berberich, Lebanon, IL, Marvin Berberich, Trenton, IL, David (Dona) Berberich, Lebanon, IL; sister-in-law, Pam Berberich, New Baden, IL; several cherished nieces and nephews.

    Memorials may be made to St. Paul UCC in Lebanon, IL.

    Visitation: Thursday, October 14, 2021, from 4:00 to 8:00 pm, and Friday, October 15, 2021, from 9:00 to 11:00 am, at St. Paul UCC in Lebanon, IL.

    Funeral Service: Friday, October 15, 2021, at 11:00 am, at St. Paul UCC in Lebanon, IL.

    Interment: College Hill Cemetery, Lebanon, IL.

    Meridith Funeral Home, Lebanon, IL.

    Mary-I am so very sorry you lost your daddy. It is one of the hardest things in life to have to endure. Just know that he doesn’t hurt anymore and has no pain. Your friends are here for you any time you need a listening ear. You are in my prayers.
