    Mary Ann Corrigan, 67, of Houston, TX, passed away on Wednesday, March 9, 2022 at her home.

    She was born on February 24, 1955 to John and Louise (nee Tomastick) Corrigan in Litchfield, IL. She married Donald Hesson in 1975, and he preceded her in death on August 16, 1980.  She later married Steve Rulison in 1986; this marriage ended in divorce.

    Mary Ann worked many years in the nursery of various hospitals, as a traveling nurse.  She loved her years in Nursing.   She also volunteered a lot of time at animal shelters and was an avid reader.

    She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Louise Corrigan; husband, Don Hesson.

    She is survived by her children, Kathy (significant other, William Bierre) Rulison, Austin, TX, and Kelly (significant other, Eric Welch) Rulison, Alton, IL; brother, John (Katie) Corrigan, Venice, FL; many cousins, and friends.

    Visitation:  Thursday, March 17, 2022, from 1:00 to 3:00 pm, at Meridith Funeral Home, Highland, IL.

    Funeral Services:  Thursday, March 17, 2022, 3:00 pm, Meridith Funeral Home, Highland, IL.

    Interment:  Oak Ridge Cemetery, Springfield, IL

    Mary Ann was my sister in law, when she married Don Hesson and sadly after his passing we lost touch through the years. In 1996 I lost Don’s brother, Kevin. My deepest condolences to her children and family.

    So very sorry to here about the loss. I went to school with Mary and was a really sweet girl. lots of memories. Really will miss her.

    Such a sweet person. Have tried over the years to find her after I left Springfield. She will really be missed by so many. God has another sweet angel.
