    Ann Scott, 81, of West Salem, IL passed away Sunday, February 27, 2022, at Oakview Nursing and Rehab, Mt. Carmel, IL.

    She was born April 30, 1940, to Norvel and Julia (Mallinson) Cokley in Olney, IL.  She married Larry Scott on November 24, 1960, at the Zion United Methodist Church in West Salem.

    Ann was a member of the Zion United Methodist Church in West Salem.

    She was a member of the Red Hatters club and the Richland County Homemakers. Ann loved her grandchildren and all children and animals.  She was a loving and caring mother and grandmother. Ann enjoyed baking cakes and cookies. She loved Elvis, Jeff Gordon, and St. Louis Cardinals baseball. She worked as and Edwards County Dispatcher for 21 years.

    She is preceded in death by her parents Norvel and Julia Cokley, husband Larry Scott, and daughter Donna Sue Scott, in infancy.

    Ann is survived by her children, Denisa (Terry) Marks, Crossville, IL, Paula Scott, Evansville, IN, Arol Scott, West Salem, IL, Carrie Nesler, Carmi, IL; eight grandchildren, Tanna (Significant other Trevor Lambert) Banks, Dennis (Significant other, Alyssa Burcham) Banks, Michael (Jeremy) Brown, Jefferey (Ryan) Scott, AC Scott, Joseph Marks, Zack Marks, Devin Nesler; several great-grandchildren; siblings, Verlin (Nell) Cokley, Parkersburg, IL, Sue (David) Hamner, West Salem, Paul (Karen) Cokley, West Salem; nieces and nephews.

    Memorials may be made to help the family with the funeral expenses.  Checks need to be written to Ingram-Meridith Funeral Home.

    Visitation: Thursday, March 3, 2022, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the First Christian Church, West Salem, IL.

    Funeral Service: Friday, March 4, 2022, at 10:00 am, First Christian Church, West Salem, IL.

    Interment: Moravian Cemetery, West Salem, IL
