    Ralph L. Kelly, 95, of East Peoria, Illinois passed away Sunday, February 20, 2022, at his home.

    Ralph was born June 6, 1926, at Alton, Illinois to Robert C. and Beulah (Carol) Kelly.  He married Irene Ellis December 24, 1983, at Cisne, Illinois.

    Ralph was a retired Superintendent of Anna-Jonesboro School System at Anna, Illinois.  He was a veteran of WWII serving in the Navy 1944 – 1946, and a lifetime member of VFW at Flora, Illinois.

    Ralph is survived by his wife Irene L. Kelly of East Peoria, Illinois; one daughter Carol Kelly of Houston, Texas; two sons Kenneth Kelly of Tomball, Texas, and Barry (Marie) Kelly of Houston, Texas; seven grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.

    Preceding him in death were his parents, one son Michael, two sisters Marjorie and Velma and four brothers Ray, Robert, Walter, and Melvin.

    Graveside service will be 1:00 pm Friday, February 25, 2022, at Clay City Cemetery, Clay City, Illinois.  There will be no visitation.  Everyone attending is asked to go directly to the cemetery.

    So sorry to hear about Mr. Kelly. I remember him as a substitute teacher at Clay City Grade School. Which I would have been 30 years if not longer. I always thought he looked like Mr. Belvedere of the tv show.
    I still go by the house they lived in out in the country by Clay City. My parents live just south of them by Mt. Zion Church.
