    Robert “Bob” Ellis, Jr, 70, Albion, IL, passed away Wednesday February 2, 2022, at Fairfield Memorial Hospital in Fairfield, IL. He was born March 22, 1951, in Cisne, IL to Robert Sr. and Betty (Leathers) Ellis.

    When Bob got out of college, he taught at New Hope Grade School for a few years. He was owner / operator of Pizza Plus in Albion for many years. Bob worked at Champion Laboratories and retired from there. He loved St. Louis Cardinals baseball. Bob enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and could be found attending many of their sporting events and other activities.

    He was preceded in death by his father Robert Ellis, Sr., and his wife Sharlyn (Denbo) Ellis.

    Bob is survived by his mother Betty Ellis, Albion, IL, three sons; Bob (Francie) Ellis III, Albion, IL, Chris (Lee) Ellis, Chandler, IN, Jeremy Ellis, Albion, IL, sister Judy (Clyde) Mullinnax, Fairfield, IL, six grandchildren; Abby Ellis, Bob Ellis IV, Kenzie (Kyle) Brafford, Dannette Schutz, Lexington Ellis, Cawood Ellis, one great grandchild, Azaley Brafford.

    Visitation: Friday February 11, 2022, 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., Ingram-Meridith Funeral Home, Albion, IL

    Funeral Service: Friday February 11, 2022, at 12:00 p.m., Ingram-Meridith Funeral Home, Albion, IL

    It was Bob’s wish that he be cremated.

    In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to The Wayne County Humane Society. Envelopes will be available at the visitation.
