    William A. “Bill” Collins, Sr., 83, of Albion, IL, passed from this life to his heavenly home on Friday, December 17, 2021, at Deaconess Midtown Hospital in Evansville, IN.

    He was born November 21, 1938, to Ewell and Martha (Gambrel) Collins in Flatlick, KY.  Bill married Doris Kennedy on August 31, 1974, at Northside Missionary Baptist Church in Grayville, IL.

    He was a member of the Northside Missionary Baptist Church.

    Bill was a loyal family man, a loving caring father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He enjoyed wood working and making candy of all kinds, especially buckeyes.

    Bill is preceded in death by his parents, Ewell and Martha Collins, wife Doris, daughter Amy Yates, two grandchildren; Nicohl K. Kennedy, Rickie C. Kennedy, Jr. and 16 brothers and sisters.

    He is survived by children; William A. Collins, Jr., Olney, IL, Diana (Bob) Christie, Keensburg, IL, Robert (Victoria) Collins, Stanley, NM, Rick (Dionne) Kennedy, Albion, IL, Angie (Leroy) Sharp, Albion, IL, Bonnie (Danny) Hasselbrinck, Princeton, IN, siblings; Grace Kuntz, Nan Collins, Elon Turner, Juanita Lockwood, Barb Collins, grandchildren; Sandra (David) Smith, Jon Collins, J.R. Christie, Chris (Jennifer) Christie, Natasha Kennedy, Brandon Sharp, Katelyn Sharp, Shyanna Yates, Kaleb Hasselbrinck, Hanna Hasselbrinck, eight great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

    Visitation: Thursday, December 30, 2021, 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., Northside Missionary Baptist Church, Grayville, IL.

    Funeral Service: Thursday, December 30, 2021, at 2:00 p.m., Northside Missionary Baptist Church, Grayville, IL

    Memorials may be made to Northside Missionary Baptist Church and Grayville Senior Citizens.

    Interment: Oak Grove Cemetery, Grayville, IL

    Andy as Fred and I called him was a good man he had a dry sense of humor always joking He was a man of many skills which one of them was sewing ha ha It was our wedding day Fred’s pants were to long so Andy hemmed them for him done a pretty decent job too we love you and you will be missed by many 🙏🏻🙏🏻
