    Everett Lee Hallam, 70, of Evansville, IN, formerly of Albion, IL, passed away from this life to his heavenly home on Thursday, November 11, 2021, at his home in Evansville, IN.

    Everett was born January 30, 1951, in Herrin, IL to Harlan “Bill” and Wanda (Orr) Hallam.  He married Carolyn (Collins) Hallam on August 8, 1971, at Samaria Baptist Church in Albion, IL.

    He and Carolyn moved to Evansville, IN four years ago to be near their sons.  Everett worked 22 years at AMAX Coal Company in Keensburg, IL.  He was a very caring and helpful guy always with a smile on his face.  He loved being with family, especially his Grandchildren.  He was a member of the Samaria Missionary Baptist Church and was the treasurer for over 30 years.

    He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Hallam, Evansville, IN; two sons, Lee (Patti) Hallam and Evan (Jessica) Hallam both of Evansville, IN; three grandchildren, Colin, Jacianna and Aspen Hallam; one sister also survives Patty Williams, of Browns, IL.

    He was preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Wanda Hallam; Brother-in-law Rod Williams.

    In lieu of flowers the family request memorial donations may be given to the Baptist Children’s Home in Carmi, IL.  Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.

    Visitation:  10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 17, 2021, at Ingram-Meridith Funeral Home Albion, IL.

    Funeral:  12:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 17, 2021, Ingram-Meridith Funeral Home, Albion, IL.

    Interment:  Samaria Cemetery in Albion, IL.

    Carolyn:

    All through the years, Everett (and you) were always so kind and helpful to Dad and Mom.

    Knowing that you were just across the street was a real comfort and Godsend to us and your continuing to come back and check on Mom allowed her to stay in the home she and Dad built until just before she passed.

    We thank God for friends and neighbors like you and Everett. We will continue to keep you all in our thoughts and prayers.

    Everett and I worked together for many years. He was a good friend and a great guy. He will always be remembered.
