      Donald J. “Don” Hill, 54, of Sorento, IL, passed away on Saturday, November 6, 2021, at Holy Family Hospital in Greenville, IL.

      He was born on April 9, 1967, in Greenville, IL, to James J. and Sandra K. (nee Weiss) Hill.

      Don was an avid junker/scrapper and always had a small engine to tinker with. He loved to sit by the fire, listening to “The Hayride”, a radio station which played old school country music. Don loved cooking, grilling, and his beloved chihuahua, “Baby Girl”. He was a joker, with a big heart.  He loved to have fun and would help anyone he could.

      He is survived by his stepson, Donnie Wayne Edwards, Wildwood, FL; siblings, Virginia (William) Cartwright, James J. Hill, Patty Hill, Sheryl (Neal) Merritt, and Dorothy J. (Donald) May; nephew, Brayden Donald James Forys, whom he helped raise the first few years of his life; special friend, Laura Peppers; many more cherished nieces and nephews.

      Don was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Hill (nee Edwards); parents, James J. and Sandra K. Hill; sister, Twyla Jean Metz.

      Memorials may be made to the Family.

      Don you was buddy and I will miss you very much we had alot of fun times together and alot of great laughs, I will even miss your cussing lol I loved you Don you were a very special friend to me and my heart is broken your gone but your in a better place just think buddy your not suffering or in any pain anymore. RIP my dear friend fly high till we meet again !

      I realy thought he was a great uncle to me I was very upset when he pass but hes in a better place good bye uncle donald.
