    Elethea Jeanette Kostoff, 66, of Granite City, IL passed away on August 24, 2021 at Gateway Regional Medical Center, Granite City, IL.

    She was born April 1, 1955 in Washington, D.C. to James and Anna Mae Hansborough.

    Elethea was preceded in death by her parents, James and Anna Mae Hansborough; husband, Jimmy Kostoff, Jr. (Jim The Greek); grandchild, Lil Peanut; great-grandchild, Baby Breese.

    She is survived by son, William (Kim) Begis, Waterloo, IL; daughters, Tammy (Nathan) Johnson, Granite City, IL, Jeanette Mahaney, Granite City, IL; step daughter, Christine Kostoff, Granite City, IL; grandchildren, Alexia Begis, Tyler Begis, Anthony (Cassandra) Polach, Michael (Missa) Polach, Paige Polach, Caitlyn Johnson, Ashlyn Johnson, Brent Shamp, Kevin (Brooke) Polach, Carissa Polach, Keagan (Lindsay) Mouradian, Noah Mouradian, Branden Lawrence; great-grandchildren, Talan Gibson, Anthony Polach, Jr., Aaron Polach, Carson Polach, Hunter Polach, Aubree Polach, Cameron Polach, Chase Polach, Zayden Polach, Axel Powell, Daisy Shamp, Brent Shamp, Jr., Bentley Armbruster, Logan Polach, Theodore Mouradian.

    I am so sorry to hear that your mom passed away. I remember her through my husband’s stories of when he would hunt ducks and geese with your dad, Jimmy a long time ago. He was Larry Osborn . He’s gone now too. She was a great person. I wish I could have met her in person.
