    Glenda C. Kleine, 69, of Troy, IL passed away on Thursday, August 19, 2021 at Anderson Hospital, Maryville, IL.

    She was born February 23, 1952 in Mt. Sterling, KY to Joe and Elouise (nee Wilson) Love. On June 16, 1978 she married Bill Kleine.

    Glenda was preceded in death by her mother, Elouise Love.

    She is survived by her husband of over 40 years, Bill Kleine; children, Amy (William) Newton, Jay Kleine; sisters, Kathy Love, Missi (Greg) Lane; brothers, Joe (Marsha) Love, Steve (Connie) Love; grandchildren, Alec Rea, Tidus Rea, Ashlyn Newton.

    Glenda was a member of the Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church in Collinsville, IL.  She dearly loved her grandchildren and loved to cook and entertain friends and family. For several years Glenda was a bookkeeper for a construction business.

    Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association.

    Service: Saturday, August 21, 2021, 12:00 pm, Kassly-Meridith Funeral Home, Collinsville, IL.

    Interment: St. John Cemetery, Collinsville, IL

    I am so sorry. Glenda was a beautiful person and one of my oldest and dearest friends. Her heart was huge and her welcoming spirit undeniable. She was loved by so many. I will forever treasure the memories we shared. God bless and comfort you. Sending my love to you all.

    I am so sorry to learn this. Deepest sympathy. I remember well when Glenda was born. The whole family was so happy. Joe and Eloise have always been so special. That makes all their children special even though the years and distance have kept b me from seeing them very much.

    We are deeply saddened by the news of Glendas death. She was such a kind, funny and faithful person. We so enjoyed our visits and time spent together, she always a great host. We will missed her so very much. Please know that you are in our thoughts and prayers.

    So sad to hear of Glenda’s passing. We became friends in high school and although we did not see each other often, we always enjoyed catching up when we did. Bill, I know you will miss her terribly. Please take care of yourself.
